■ Product Overview

The EDN.613 pressure transmitter is a hygienic type transmitter fully constructed with stainless steel for all wetted parts, body, and housing.

 

It is designed for applications requiring high levels of cleanliness, such as food & beverage, pharmaceutical, and biotechnology industries. In addition, the transmitter is certified as explosion flameproof (Ex d), allowing safe installation and operation in hazardous areas.

 

The electrical connection is also made of stainless steel, making it suitable for both explosion-proof environments and hygienic applications.

 

Furthermore, various international hygienic process connections are available upon request. For high-temperature applications, the transmitter can be supplied with a cooling device, enabling operation at temperatures up to 200 ℃ and 300 ℃.

 

■ Pressure Measurement Principle

The EDN.613 measures pressure based on a piezoresistive silicon pressure sensor.

 

Process pressure is transmitted through a stainless steel diaphragm to the internal sensor, where it causes a minute deformation. This deformation is converted into an electrical signal.

 

The signal is then amplified and compensated by the internal PCB circuitry and output as a stable analog signal, ensuring reliable measurement performance even in hygienic and hazardous environments.
