■ Product Overview
The ERS.368 is a submersible
pressure transmitter designed for hydrostatic pressure and level measurement of
liquids such as water and oil.
The housing and all wetted parts
are made of stainless steel 316L, providing reliable pressure measurement in
various liquid environments. With an IP68-rated construction, the transmitter
is suitable for installation in submerged environments and inside tanks or
storage systems.
The ERS.368 supports RS485 digital
communication and various analog output signals, including 4…20 mA and voltage
outputs. The RS485 interface uses the Modbus RTU protocol, allowing integration
with various control and monitoring systems.
The transmitter is also equipped
with a special cable containing an atmospheric pressure compensation tube,
which allows compensation for changes in atmospheric pressure during level measurement.
■ Pressure Measurement Principle
The
ERS.368 measures hydrostatic pressure generated by the liquid head and is used
to determine liquid level or depth.
The
pressure acting on the sensor diaphragm is converted into an electrical signal
and processed by the internal electronics. The measured value is then provided
through an analog output or RS485 digital communication interface.
For level
measurement, the appropriate pressure range should be selected according to the
specific gravity and measurement depth of the liquid. The total cable length
should also be specified according to the final connection point during the
initial ordering process.
■ Application Areas
The
ERS.368 is designed for various industrial applications requiring hydrostatic
pressure and liquid level measurement.
▶ Hydrostatic pressure measurement
▶ Level measurement in vessels and storage systems
▶ Water and fuel storage tank level measurement
▶ Seawater desalination plants
▶ Submerged and liquid storage systems
▶ Industrial liquid level monitoring and control systems
■ Materials of Wetted Parts
The
pressure port, housing, sensor diaphragm, and other wetted parts of the ERS.368
are made of stainless steel 316L.
FKM is
used for the sensor sealing, providing reliable operation in various liquid
environments.
The
transmitter also features a stainless steel cable gland and an IP68-rated
construction for submerged installation and level measurement inside tanks.
■ Accuracy Class
The
ERS.368 is available in the following accuracy classes according to the user's
requirements.
▶ A4: ≤ ±0.5% F.S
▶ A7: ≤ ±0.25% F.S
▶ A9: ≤ ±0.1% F.S
Accuracy
is specified according to IEC 60770 limit point adjustment and includes
Non-Linearity, Hysteresis, and Repeatability.
■ Communication &
Switches
The
ERS.368 is designed to support RS485 digital communication together with analog
output signals.
The RS485
interface uses the Modbus RTU protocol, while various analog output options are
available depending on the user's system requirements.
▶ RS485
(Modbus RTU)
▶ 4…20 mA, 2-wire system
▶ 0…10 V, 3-wire system
▶ 0…5 V, 3-wire system
